Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua held their first press conference on Wednesday at the Olympia in London, ahead of their heavyweight clash at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on December 11.
The pair were due to face off publicly for the first time as they build toward the blockbuster bout, which was agreed earlier this month. However, the fight was plunged into doubt at the weekend after Fury claimed Joshua was looking to pull out.
Fury's doubts over Joshua's commitment
Speaking to Sky Sports following Jonny Fisher's win over Michael Pirotton on Saturday, Fury said: "If you’ve got a guy that wants to fight, and you’ve got a guy that doesn’t want to fight, then how are you going to make that fight happen? I’m involved in the fight."
He added: "If Eddie Hearn really cared about this fight, first of all it would have happened a long time ago, number one. Number two, he could finance the thing himself. The guy who’s supposed to be helping the fight has been hurting the fight the entire time. We’ll all know more in the next three or four days."
Drug testing issue resolved
There was also concern over when Fury would enrol in drug testing with VADA, with the Manchester fighter finally doing so on Monday. That meant all issues were resolved, and Wednesday's press conference went ahead as planned at 6pm.
