Former Olympic gold medallist Belinda Bencic opens play on the main show court against Austria's Sinja Kraus, while men's second seed Alexander Zverev also features in the day session. Elsewhere, Emma Raducanu takes on clay-court specialist Solana Sierra of Argentina on Court 13 later in the afternoon.
Madrid champion Marta Kostyuk and Brazilian wunderkind Joao Fonseca are also among the players in action on a packed first day at Roland-Garros. The tournament main draw begins on Sunday 24 May, with finals weekend scheduled for Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 June.
