Leclerc Signs Long-Term Ferrari Deal, Solidifying Hamilton Partnership

Charles Leclerc has signed a new multi-year contract with Ferrari, extending his tenure with the team until at least the end of the 2029 season. The 28-year-old Monégasque driver will continue alongside Lewis Hamilton, who also holds a long-term deal with the Scuderia.

Ferrari announced the extension on the eve of the Monaco Grand Prix, Leclerc's home race. Leclerc, who joined Ferrari in 2019, has competed in 155 races for the team, a tally second only to Michael Schumacher's 180 appearances between 1996 and 2006.

“I couldn’t be happier to continue this journey with Ferrari,” Leclerc said. “It has always been so much more than just a team to me. It’s the team I’ve loved and dreamt of being part of since I was a child, and after all these years it has become a second family.”

Leclerc has secured eight wins and 27 pole positions with Ferrari, with his best championship finish being second in 2022. He currently sits third in the drivers' standings, three points ahead of Hamilton. Team principal Fred Vasseur praised Leclerc's growth and determination, stating that the renewal felt natural.
