Ezri Konsa and Nico O'Reilly have missed group training ahead of England's UEFA Nations League match against Czechia on Tuesday evening. The Three Lions are set to face their European rivals in their second Nations League game following the weekend's defeat to Spain.
Before the squad's departure to Prague, the Football Association confirmed that both Konsa and O'Reilly have been training individually rather than with the main group.
Individual programmes at Tottenham's training ground
An FA statement read: “Ezri Konsa and Nico O'Reilly are following their own individual programmes at Tottenham Hotspur's training ground this morning. All other 22 players are involved in group training ahead of the squad departing for Prague this afternoon.”
Both Konsa and O'Reilly started the 3-2 defeat to Spain over the weekend, with the Manchester City player completing the full 90 minutes.
Tuchel's squad concerns and reaction to Spain defeat
Thomas Tuchel will be hoping both players are available, having already seen an array of players pull out of the squad this month. The German coach will also be keen to see an improved performance after the loss to Spain.
Speaking after that game, Tuchel said: "Yeah, if we learn from it, if we take the positives. I think there's quite some positives to take away from [it] and we will try to do the review straight away [on Sunday] because there's not a lot of time and turnaround for the game. I think we will focus on the positives but also highlight the stuff that we can do better. Not even speaking about individual mistakes because, I mean, this is normal. It just happens."
He added: "It should not happen and for sure not in this amount, but there is no sense in showing now the individual mistakes or showing or telling them 'please don't do mistakes.' But we can do things better, we can defend the third goal better, of course, but we will focus on the positives. There's a lot to take away from [this]."
Focus on the positives ahead of Prague trip
Tuchel continued: "We wanted to be the team desperately to beat them. We think we had them. We still think we had them in half time and that was the way the team showed up after half time, so we will focus on that. But the reality is we lost and the reality is we need to prove it again against Czechia in Prague. Totally different match with different circumstances. We only have a two-day turnaround and to travel, so it will be demanding and challenging. Hopefully, we will look back and go step from step."
