Luis Diaz 'Stunned' by Harry Kane's Incredible Work Ethic at Bayern Munich
Diaz reveals true feelings on Bayern teammate Harry Kane

Luis Diaz has opened up about his profound admiration for Bayern Munich teammate Harry Kane, admitting the England captain's daily work ethic has left him truly stunned.

From Opponent to Ally: Diaz's New Perspective on Kane

The Colombian winger, who completed a £65.5 million transfer from Liverpool to the German champions in the summer of 2025, was already familiar with Kane from their clashes in the Premier League. However, Diaz insists that sharing a dressing room and training pitch with the striker has been a revelation.

In an interview with The Guardian, Diaz expressed his awe: "Wow. Harry Kane … is incredible. I faced him many times back when he was with Tottenham so I knew him on the pitch but never shared it with him." He emphasised the difference between observing an opponent and experiencing a teammate's routine, noting the "little details" in Kane's day-to-day approach.

'He Does Things That Can't Be Real' - Inside Bayern's Training

Diaz provided a vivid insight into what makes Kane so special behind the scenes at the Sabener Strasse training ground. "He does things in training where I say to myself, 'this can’t be'. He’s so good," Diaz revealed. He praised Kane's all-round game, highlighting his commitment to defending and team play alongside his predatory instincts.

"He plays so much and does everything well. Hunts for the ball, passes, defends – you watch him defend, he dedicates himself so much, someone so calm … and yet he scores goals," Diaz continued. "This guy lives for them. Each one that comes to him – once, twice, three times – he scores all of them."

Beyond his footballing prowess, Diaz was equally complimentary about Kane's character, describing him as a "great person" who is "very down to earth, family-orientated, just a spectacular person."

A Partnership Flourishing in Bavaria

The mutual respect is translating into formidable performances on the pitch. Kane, now 32, is in the midst of another phenomenal season, boasting 29 goals in just 24 appearances across all competitions for Bayern.

Diaz is also enjoying a productive debut campaign in Germany, having contributed 12 goals and seven assists so far. Their understanding has been a key factor as Bayern, under manager Vincent Kompany, sit six points clear at the top of the Bundesliga.

Kompany himself has lauded Kane's influence, recently stating: "Harry's consistency is very impressive. You can tell he feels at ease in Munich, with his family and in this team. We have an absolute leader in Harry."

The duo will look to continue their devastating form as Bayern prepare for their next Bundesliga fixture against Heidenheim, with Kane's Ballon d'Or credentials growing stronger by the week.
