Matheus Cunha made Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards burst out laughing midway through a live interview after Manchester United beat Roma in the Champions League. The forward scored twice in four minutes to complete the comeback victory at Old Trafford.
Red card and celebration
Cunha removed his shirt while running over to the home fans during his celebrations after the winning goal. He was issued a yellow card, then a second in added time, resulting in a red card, leaving United with ten men.
However, he was still in high spirits after the match. Cunha spoke with Carragher, Kate Abdo, Richards and Thierry Henry.
Gym comment sparks laughter
The former Manchester City player asked Cunha about the celebration. He then focused on the impressive physique he showed off.
Richards said: "You're in good shape, eh? You been going to the gym?" Caught off guard, Cunha replied, "Yeah, I did," prompting laughter in the studio. "Thank you, thank you. My wife needs me to be good."
That comment elicited an even louder response, with Carragher's booming laugh heard and Richards left face down on the desk in stitches. The latter had to exhale audibly while attempting to compose himself as Abdo took over the questioning and continued their interview.
Emotional celebration and next steps
Cunha had earlier spoken at length about the emotion of his celebration. He said: "I think this is too much Brazilian, no? I think I always dreamed of having this celebration, to be honest.
"When I went, I saw the fans. It was a bit tricky because it (the winning goal) was in front of the Roma fans' section.
"Then I don't know if it's Roma fans or our fans, and then I felt like if I jump, 'oh my God, it will be tricky!' But yeah, I'm happy because they celebrated me, and it was a very beautiful moment."
Before the interview concluded, Cunha spoke about what comes next for United after their comeback. He said: "I think we need to change, no?
"After this hard moment, we tried everything and nothing more than a night like today. Champions League and with a comeback, as we did.
"I think the second half was a real Manchester United team, with all the passion, all the duels - everything you can show on the pitch. I think we need to do more and more of these kinds of things, and I hope this will be a beautiful comeback for this season."
