Chelsea are among the clubs tracking RB Leipzig midfielder Assan Ouédraogo, according to Sky Sports Germany. The 19-year-old Germany international has impressed this season with three goals and three assists, and scored on his senior debut for Germany in a 6-0 win over Slovakia.
Ouédraogo does not have a release clause in his contract, meaning only substantial offers will be considered by Leipzig. The teenager's focus remains on qualifying for the World Cup with Germany and the Champions League with his current side. Manchester United are also understood to be interested.
Meanwhile, Barcelona winger Raphinha has revealed he turned down a move to Chelsea in 2022 to fulfil his dream of playing for the Catalan club. Speaking to AS Diario, the Brazilian said: 'Ever since I played my last game for Leeds, I knew of Chelsea’s interest. But I had a dream and I did everything I could to play for Barca.'
Chelsea had agreed terms with Leeds for Raphinha, but the 28-year-old opted for Barcelona instead. The Blues face Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday, with the Brazilian set to line up against them.
