Chelsea face Burnley with depleted squad as Chilwell and Sterling miss out

Chelsea have been hit by a fresh wave of injury problems ahead of their Premier League clash with Burnley, with Ben Chilwell and Raheem Sterling among those missing out. The Blues announced a series of absentees in their latest injury report as the Premier League restarted after the international break.

Chilwell is absent after picking up a knock in England's 2-2 draw with Belgium, while Robert Sanchez, Trevoh Chalobah, and Carney Chukwuemeka also remain sidelined. Long-term absentees include Reece James, Levi Colwill, Christopher Nkunku, Lesley Ugochukwu, Wesley Fofana, and Romeo Lavia, with the latter ruled out for the season despite making just one 32-minute appearance.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino has been forced into a makeshift lineup for the visit of Vincent Kompany's relegation-threatened side. Djordje Petrovic continues in goal behind a back four of Malo Gusto, Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile, and Marc Cucurella, with Thiago Silva not making his first start since early February.
