Big Stacks, whose real name is Charlie Robert, returns to the Misfits Boxing ring this weekend to face former Cardiff City, Wales and West Ham United defender James Collins. The self-proclaimed 'UK's Hardest Man' is back in action on Saturday, October 10, as part of the Misfits card headlined by reality TV star Joey Essex and comedian Dapper Laughs at London's Copper Box Arena.
Who is Big Stacks and what is his real name?
Despite being widely recognised as Big Stacks or the 'UK's Hardest Man', his real name is Charlie Robert. The 33-year-old internet personality has built a following through social media, particularly his livestreaming work on Kick, where he has attracted millions of views.
His now-famous nickname began after he jokingly declared himself the 'Hardest Man' in the UK. What started as banter was subsequently taken seriously by followers and fighters, with challenges following from those keen to test the claim. Robert eventually embraced the nickname and used the attention to help establish himself in influencer boxing, joining the Misfits roster.
His boxing journey began with a novelty body-shots-only contest against Armz Korleone earlier this year. He suffered a fourth-round TKO defeat in that encounter before returning to action against McCann in September. That victory marked a significant moment for Stacks, who will now look to build on it against Collins.
Big Stacks' criminal past and prison sentence
Robert has spoken openly about his troubled upbringing and his involvement in crime from a young age. He has previously revealed that his first brush with the law came when he was just 10 years old, while his first spell behind bars followed at the age of 12. Growing up on a council estate, Robert became involved with street gangs and was repeatedly arrested for offences including assault. He has claimed to have been arrested around 60 times during his life.
Speaking to All Out Fighting about his early years, he said: "Just in jail. I got involved in gangs. And I was just in and out of jail. It was normal for me. Because I used to love fighting, I was always getting done for assaults, GBH's. For me, in and out of jail was my second home."
One of the most serious incidents came in his early twenties, when Robert received a 13-year prison sentence for a violent assault in which he attacked a man with a baseball bat and broke his kneecaps. The incident stemmed from a dispute connected to drug dealing and what Robert believed had been a setup.
Reflecting on the episode, he told All Out Fighting: "I was involved with gangs. I had some beef with some other drug dealer. He's pulled up on me with a baseball bat. He tried doing me with the bat, dropped the bat and drove off. We chased after him. I thought I had been set up by the geezer I done. So, in my mind, I think 'how the f*** did this other geezer know who was there at the same time?'"
He continued: "We called the geezer and were gonna meet for a deal. And I ended up battering him. Could have got it wrong. In my head, I did get it wrong, but at that night, I genuinely thought he set me up. I was intoxicated, just jumped out and battered a kid. Obviously, I regret it." Robert has since spoken about his regret over the incident and the direction his life took during those years.
Big Stacks' history with OnlyFans
Following his release from prison, Robert turned to OnlyFans as a way of generating income and rebuilding his life. He began producing adult content with women for subscribers, later revealing that the account had become a lucrative source of revenue. Robert previously disclosed that he was earning more than £14,000 per month through the platform.
However, he has since expressed regret about some of the content he produced and faced criticism surrounding his involvement in the adult entertainment industry. As his profile has grown, Stacks has indicated that he wants to move away from adult content creation and focus more heavily on mainstream social media and his boxing career.
