Bayern Munich have postponed their transfer meeting with Tottenham Hotspur over Harry Kane after their flight plans were reportedly discovered by fans. The German club had intended to send chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen and technical director Marco Neppe to London on Friday for talks, but the trip was cancelled on Thursday evening when the travel details appeared on flight radar websites.
According to German publication Bild, the scheduled 10am flight from Munich to London was identified by supporters, prompting Bayern to scrap the plans. However, Sky in Germany reports that the delay is temporary, with a new date already set for next week. Bayern remain confident of securing a deal for the England captain, who has less than a year remaining on his Tottenham contract.
Bayern are prepared to offer up to £86 million for Kane, who turns 30 this month. The Bundesliga champions have already seen one bid rejected. Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is reportedly holding out for a higher fee, aware that Kane could leave for free next summer. The Telegraph claims Bayern may include teenage striker Mathys Tel in negotiations, as Tottenham have previously enquired about the 18-year-old.
Kane's future remains uncertain, with Paris Saint-Germain also linked. Sources claim Levy has agreed a deal with PSG, who are ready to outbid any competition, but Kane is not keen on a move to the French capital. New Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou admitted the situation is on his mind, saying: "Fair to say I am not relaxed about it... He's a very important part of this football club."
