Wales manager Craig Bellamy has insisted he has given no thought to the situation at former club Manchester City as he prepares to face Erling Haaland's Norway in the Nations League.
The World Cup quarter-finalists visit Cardiff City Stadium on Thursday night hoping to add to Bellamy's recent difficulties, with Wales yet to win in six attempts in 2026.
Much attention is likely to focus on Haaland, not only for his technical abilities but also because of the noise around his club in recent days.
City found guilty of financial breaches
Manchester City have been found guilty of over 100 charges of breaking Premier League financial rules from 2009 to 2018, a period in which the club rose to the top of English football. The club are expected to appeal, but the news has sent a shockwave through English football, sparking debates over the most appropriate punishment.
Bellamy joined City in 2009 before departing two years later, but insists he has not spent any time thinking about developments at his former employers.
"I've played for so many clubs we'll be here all day [if we spoke about them]. This doesn't involve Norway tomorrow. We can talk about it another time," he added. "But at this present moment, off the back of three losses, playing Norway tomorrow, it's the furthest thing on my mind."
Haaland 'a machine'
Bellamy also expects Haaland to adopt a similar view on the matter. "I don't think he'll be distracted," he added. "The guy's a machine. Have you seen his record at international level? He just wants to score. That ain't stopping him.
"If you love football, you have to appreciate him. He's world-class. It's very rare you have a player who's this size and has this mobility.
"You know when you see certain moments in sporting careers or certain sports. You remember the Jonah Lomu factor? We're coming through the Haaland factor at this present moment.
"Now we will adapt. The game will adapt. It's how we're able to combat that's gonna be another challenge as well, but an exciting challenge."
