Stacey Flounders, the ex-girlfriend of former England footballer Adam Johnson, has revealed in court that the couple split after he admitted to cheating on her with 'quite a few' women. Giving evidence at Bradford Crown Court, she said she no longer saw a future in their relationship.
Ms Flounders, the mother of Mr Johnson's one-year-old daughter, testified that he confessed to kissing a 15-year-old girl after his arrest in March last year. She also stated that he acknowledged other infidelities, leaving her 'head all over the place', but she initially stayed with him to keep the family together.
The 28-year-old, who denies two counts of sexual activity with a child, has already pleaded guilty to one count of sexual activity with a child and one of grooming. The jury heard Ms Flounders confirm that Mr Johnson did not tell her about specific details, such as the kiss involving tongues or the exchange of messages with the teenager.
During cross-examination, Ms Flounders was asked about Mr Johnson's pubic hair, after the teenager alleged he was shaved. Ms Flounders said he would trim with scissors but not shave. The trial continues.
