Brendan Rodgers is set to return to Glasgow to finally break his silence on his Celtic departure, almost two years after he left the club.
The Irishman has been linked with an appearance at an event hosted by the popular Celtic podcast A Celtic State Of Mind, scheduled for next June.
Rodgers' acrimonious exit
Rodgers has spoken in detail about his acrimonious Parkhead departure 12 months ago, when Celtic supremo Dermot Desmond launched an astonishing attack on him.
The Irish billionaire claimed Rodgers "contributed to a toxic atmosphere" at Celtic and "fuelled hostility towards members of the executive team and board".
He said: "Regrettably, his words and actions have been divisive, misleading, and self-serving. Some of the abuse directed at [the board and executive team], and at their families, has been entirely unwarranted and unacceptable."
"Every member of the Board and executive team is deeply passionate about Celtic and acts at all times with professionalism, integrity, and a shared desire for success."
First public response
Rodgers has never replied to the attack, but the Irishman, now working in the Saudi Pro League, is likely to tell his side of the story when he appears at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on June 14, 2027.
