Tommy Fury Cheating Scandal: Molly-Mae 'In Despair' Over Triathlon and Half Marathon Controversies

Molly-Mae Hague is reportedly ‘fuming’ and ‘in despair’ after boyfriend Tommy Fury faced cheating allegations over his claimed completion of a 100km triathlon in the French Riviera, followed by a shoving incident at the Great North Run. The former Love Island star and mother of his child, who surprised Fury at the triathlon finish line with their two-year-old daughter Bambi, had been working on rebuilding their relationship following a split last summer.

Official race results for the triathlon – comprising a 2km swim, 80km bike leg and 18km run – show Fury, 26, recorded ‘DNF’ (did not finish). His bike splits indicate he was not logged past the 48km mark. A race spokesperson confirmed that Fury was among athletes who missed the bike cut-off times, meaning he could not complete that leg. Despite this, Fury posted on Instagram: ‘100km triathlon on days 10 training… completed’, prompting angry comments accusing him of cheating.

A source told heat magazine: ‘Molly is fuming at Tommy. She’s told friends that she’s done covering up his mistakes and cleaning up after his messes. Tommy has no idea how his actions have undone so much good work.’ The insider added that Molly-Mae, 26, is ‘beside herself’ at how quickly the scandal could ruin their carefully managed relationship ‘glow-up’ and public image.

Days later, Fury sparked further controversy at the Great North Run, where TikTok videos showed him shoving fellow runners during his finishing sprint. One runner said: ‘I felt this hand on my shoulder which pushed me to the side… It’s not really race etiquette.’ Fury defended his actions on Instagram as competitive, writing: ‘Really surprised myself with this time.’ But Molly-Mae confronted him, asking where the sportsmanship was. The source said: ‘He just found it funny, telling her that’s what he does for a living. Molly has told friends he’s an idiot – he only seems focused on himself, especially as it was a charity run.’

The cheating allegations have particularly distressed Molly-Mae. The source added: ‘The worst thing is the cheating allegations. Her stomach is in knots over what he’ll do next.’ Fury has not publicly responded to the triathlon controversy.
