Anthony Joshua could earn £70 million if he agrees to fight Jake Paul. The pair are in talks for a bout in Miami, with a prize pot of around £140 million to be split equally. The fight would not be an exhibition.
Joshua has not fought since being knocked out by Daniel Dubois last September. His promoter Eddie Hearn said the loss hurt him, but he has regained his fighting mentality. Hearn noted that fighting Paul would not be good for legacy but is an opportunity.
The fight is expected to be broadcast on Netflix, which is working on a Joshua documentary. However, Joshua has an exclusive deal with DAZN, which could be a barrier. Confirmation could come early next week.
Jake Paul previously fought Mike Tyson on Netflix. Frank Warren, Tyson Fury's promoter, said Paul cannot be knocked for this fight as it gets a huge audience, and people enjoy car crashes.
