Nate Diaz has claimed he has “accepted” a rematch with Jake Paul, amid rumours that the former UFC star will replace Gervonta Davis and box Paul before the end of the year.
YouTube star Paul was due to box Davis in an exhibition bout on 14 November, but the contest was called off after the unbeaten world champion was hit with fresh allegations of battery last week. In a public document, Courtney Rossel outlined a complaint against Davis seeking damages for battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and intentional infliction of emotional distress related to an incident on 27 October 2025.
Paul’s company Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) began an investigation, resulting in the fight being cancelled. Paul then labelled Davis “a walking human piece of garbage,” adding that working with him had become “an absolute nightmare” due to his “unprofessionalism” and “bizarre requests”.
Reports emerged that Paul could box Diaz next, two years after dropping and outpointing the retired UFC star. Diaz addressed those reports on Instagram, writing: “Fight accepted. You’re dead.”
Diaz’s post follows Paul’s back-and-forth with another former UFC fighter, Francis Ngannou, on social media. Ngannou hinted that talks over a bout with Paul had taken place, but that the contest would not happen, citing the weight difference and lack of sense. Paul responded by suggesting Ngannou was scared to lose.
