The arrest warrant for Davis was originally issued on January 14th, with the boxer facing multiple serious charges including battery, false imprisonment, and attempted kidnapping. These allegations originate from an incident reported to have occurred at a nightclub in the Miami Gardens area on October 27th.
According to official reports, a woman who had been in a relationship with Davis for approximately six months has accused the boxer of domestic violence. The relationship had concluded around one month prior to the alleged incident, after which the woman decided to cease all contact with the fighter.

The complainant alleges that Davis approached her while she was working at the venue in the early hours of the morning, around 4:15am. She claims the boxer grabbed her by the back of her head, pulling her hair with one hand while simultaneously gripping her throat with the other.
Police statements from lead detective Gary Florencio detail that the victim reported Davis forcefully escorted her down a stairway and towards a VIP parking garage while maintaining his grip on her head and neck. Upon reaching the parking area, the woman claims Davis finally released her, allowing her to run to her co-workers for assistance. Two days following the incident, she formally reported the matter to police, presenting minor injuries including bruising to her left arm.
