Gary Barlow has admitted he's been 'struggling' and feels like he's 'fallen off a cliff' since Take That wrapped up their hugely successful The Circus Live tour earlier this month. The singer/songwriter opened up about his post-tour blues in a candid Instagram video on Monday evening.
The 55-year-old addressed his 1.1 million followers, saying: 'Hey everybody, GB here. I've been trying to make this video for a few weeks, and it's not been easy. I must say that this tour has thrown me slightly.'
Post-tour struggles
Barlow explained that returning to normality after the six-week stadium tour has been particularly difficult. The tour was a reprise of the band's original 2009 The Circus tour. 'Whenever we come off tour, it always feels a little bit of an anti-climax, the whole thing. But for some reason, I don't know whether it was just because it just felt so celebratory doing The Circus again and it seems to have gone down so well, that it just feels like I've completely fallen off a cliff since the end of the shows,' he said.
He added that he forced himself to make the video to 'check in on everyone and make sure everyone's okay with the post-tour blues.' Barlow admitted he's always found coming off tour tough, but this time he struggled the most to adjust.
New album on the way
The frontman teased that Take That will be back with a new album 'very soon.' Wrapping up his video, he said: 'Thank you, everybody that joined us and we will see you for the next instalment which isn't far away now! We are just starting to get our heads around finishing this album up, getting it mastered, starting the final pressing and all the rest of the goodies that is coming. And we are really looking forward to the end of the year and playing some of this new music for you.'
The trio have already released two singles from the upcoming LP: 'You're A Superstar' and 'Sweet July.'
