Alalshikh Teases Multi-Day Undercard for Canelo vs Crawford

Turki Alalshikh has revealed a radical plan for the undercard of the super-fight between Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and Terence Crawford, suggesting it could span two or three days. The bout is scheduled for 13 September at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, where Canelo will defend his undisputed super-middleweight titles against Crawford.

Crawford, 37, will move up to a career-high weight of 168lb in an attempt to become a three-division undisputed champion. Canelo, 34, recently regained undisputed status at super-middleweight. The fight was originally set for 12 September but was moved back by one day, now clashing with a UFC Fight Night despite UFC president Dana White being a co-promoter.

While no undercard bouts have been announced, Alalshikh, the Saudi adviser known for facilitating strong match-ups, shared his vision with The Ring magazine. 'The undercard, it will be between two or three days,' he said. 'We have now reached more than 20 fights to do on the undercard, and 90... 95 per cent of this card is talent and people around the world [who] have a very big chance to be a star in the future.'
