Birgham Dub (1.50)
Birgham Dub looks a prize catch in the Coral Kincsem Handicap. Named after a salmon fishing spot on the River Tweed, he won his only race as a two-year-old last year and started this season with a smooth victory on Southwell's all-weather track. The form of that race worked out well. Although it was over 1m4f, he hasn't been getting home in better races over the same distance. He travelled into the straight as strongly as any rival in the King George V Stakes at Royal Ascot but could not sustain his run. The drop to 1m2f for the first time could do the trick. Pilu (4.10)
Pilu won his first two races last season and has been consistent in hot sprint handicaps this year. Racing away from the main bunch in what is usually one of the strongest races of its type for three-year-olds couldn't have helped and he still wasn't beaten far. He has loads of speed and drops to 5f for the first time. The last seven winners of this race had previously run over 6f and he is another. Have 1pt each-way at 9-1. Most firms offer five places.
Caeruleus (4.45)
Caeruleus is another trying a new trip for the first time. He steps up to 7f having looked very good when swooping late to land a decent 6f novice contest on the all-weather at Newcastle last month. The neck winning margin masks his superiority and he is nicely treated for his handicap debut. The way he finished at Newcastle suggests he will love the extra furlong and he is also bred to appreciate the new distance. His trainer, John Butler, has been banging in the winners in recent weeks and he looks to have a nice youngster. Have 2pts each-way at 14-1. Plenty of bookies go five places.
Get Outta Here (5.55)
Get Outta Here has done well since switching to handicaps. He beat a stack of subsequent winners at Lingfield in May when ridden by today's jockey Jamie Spencer for the only time. It was only a luckless passage that stopped him following up over today's course and distance the following month and his third at York three weeks ago was another good effort. Have 1pt each-way at 9-1. Sky Bet pays out on six places.
