Danielle Olivera, known for her role on the reality series Summer House, has been involved in a legal dispute over unpaid rent amounting to $16,650. The lawsuit, filed by her landlords Csaba Kanyaro and Ana Kanyaro, alleged that Olivera failed to pay the monthly rent of $5,550 for her two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment in Brooklyn for November and December of last year, as well as January of this year.
Lawsuit Details and Resolution
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the landlords demanded not only reimbursement of the owed amount but also Olivera's eviction from the 1,246-square-foot residence. However, a source has now confirmed that Olivera's rent is fully paid, the dispute has been resolved amicably, and she remains on good terms with her landlords. The Daily Mail has reached out to Olivera for further comment.
Olivera's Departure from Summer House
Olivera joined Summer House in 2018 for its second season and remained through the eighth season before leaving in 2024. She announced her departure on Instagram, stating, "Ultimately, I just need to trust my gut." She added, "If I can't put 100% of myself into filming, genuinely and authentically, it really doesn't feel right doing it in a full-time capacity." Olivera, who runs a personal styling app, emphasized that the network, production, cast, and fans deserve her full commitment.
Summer House Cast Controversy
The news of Olivera's rent drama surfaced amid a broader controversy involving the Summer House cast, specifically a new romance between co-stars West Wilson and Amanda Batula. Their relationship sparked public outrage because Batula was formerly best friends with Wilson's recent ex, Ciara Miller, while Wilson was also friends with Batula's estranged husband, Kyle Cooke, from whom she split in January. Batula and Wilson initially kept their relationship secret but went public last month, igniting a scandal dubbed 'Scamanda' by fans.
Despite the backlash, the couple has been openly affectionate, including a kiss caught on the kiss cam at Yankee Stadium earlier this month. The viral moment prompted social media criticism, with comments such as "somehow this is even worse than the Coldplay concert" and "It's like watching siblings kiss."
Ciara Miller's Public Support
In contrast, Ciara Miller has received widespread public sympathy and has been cast on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars. Meanwhile, Olivera is reportedly in a relationship with Irish app entrepreneur Eoin Heavey. Heavey revealed in January that they had been together for approximately nine months, via Bravo. Olivera mentioned that they have moved in together and are navigating that transition, noting, "Cleaning out closets. Mostly me trying to get rid of stuff cause I have a lot of things." She added, "But yeah, basically we're just trying to hang out, do our day-to-day stuff. Work. Play. We travel a lot, so that's been nice."
