Man Jailed for Stealing Beyoncé's Unreleased Music

A man who admitted stealing hard drives containing unreleased Beyoncé music has been sentenced to two years in prison. Kelvin Evans pleaded guilty in an Atlanta court on Tuesday to the theft, which occurred in July 2025.

Evans stole two suitcases from a rental car containing hard drives with unreleased music, tour plans, and other materials ahead of Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter tour dates in Atlanta. The stolen items also included clothing, designer sunglasses, laptops, and AirPods.

The 41-year-old accepted a five-year sentence, of which he will serve two years in custody. He was ordered to avoid the location of the theft and refrain from contacting the victim as part of his probation terms.

Police tracked one of the stolen laptops and the AirPods to locate the property, leading to Evans's arrest several weeks after the theft was reported. He was released on a $20,000 bond before his guilty plea.

It remains unclear whether the stolen property has been recovered. Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter tour was the highest-grossing of 2024, earning over $407 million.
