Love Island Star Arrested on Serious Allegations as He Lands in UK
Love Island star arrested on suspicion of sexual assault

A former star of the hit ITV2 reality show Love Island has been arrested on suspicion of a series of serious criminal offences, including sexual assault, stalking, and coercive control.

The Arrest and Allegations

The man, who is in his 20s and has not been named for legal reasons, was arrested as he disembarked at a UK airport. The arrest followed a report made to police by a woman. The Metropolitan Police confirmed the arrest took place on November 27, following the launch of an investigation on November 15.

In addition to the allegations of sexual assault, stalking, and coercive control, the suspect is also accused of criminal damage, assault by beating, and making threats to share revenge porn. A police spokesman stated the man was arrested on suspicion of multiple offences and that the alleged victim has been offered specialist support.

Impact on Love Island and ITV

The arrested individual is not connected to the currently airing series of Love Island. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries. A source told The Sun that the allegations are "the last thing the show and ITV need" given the programme's past controversies.

The source added: 'Network bosses will make sure they keep this guy away from the show, and any links to ITV, if any of this is proven. We know the police are taking this very seriously.' ITV has been contacted for comment by the Daily Mail.

All Stars Launch Amidst Turmoil

The arrest comes as the third series of Love Island All Stars, hosted by Maya Jama, finally launched on Thursday evening. The show's premiere was delayed from Monday, January 12, 2026, due to dangerous wildfires in South Africa which made filming impossible. The postponement reportedly cost ITV over £15,000 per hour in commitments to crew and staff on the ground.

The new series features a line-up of returning Islanders, including former winners Millie Court and Jess Harding. In a surprise twist, it was revealed that Curtis Pritchard will be entering the villa for a fourth time as a 'bombshell' contestant.

Meanwhile, presenter Maya Jama was pictured arriving at the villa in a striking white dress, ensuring all eyes were on her as filming for the drama-filled series got underway.
