Teen Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez and her professional partner Val Chmerkovskiy appeared on Good Morning America on Wednesday to show off the Mirrorball Trophy they won on the season 23 finale of Dancing With The Stars.
The 16-year-old Olympic gold medal winner was beaming as she held the shiny trophy at the New York City studios, while Chmerkovskiy jumped with his arms outstretched. Hernandez described the experience as 'a crazy rollercoaster'.
Hernandez beat Canadian race car driver James Hinchcliffe, who finished in second place. Hinchcliffe attended the show with his partner Sharna Burgess, saying he was 'so proud of her and all the hard work she put in, to make me look like I knew how to dance'.
It was also announced that Hernandez would be joining the DWTS troupe for their traveling show. Country singer and actress Jana Kramer, who was eliminated tenth, also appeared on the programme, matching looks in black leather motorcycle jackets with her pro partner Gleb Savchenko.
