I'm A Celebrity Final Sparks Over 1,000 Ofcom Complaints After Adam Thomas Rants
I'm A Celebrity Final Gets 1,187 Ofcom Complaints

The I'm A Celebrity All Stars finale has been hit with over 1,000 Ofcom complaints after the show descended into chaos. The ITV programme saw Adam Thomas crowned winner, but a bitter row erupted on stage with Jimmy Bullard, who branded Adam "intimidating, aggressive and abusive" following the Rancid Run trial. David Haye also continued to goad Adam amid allegations of bullying in the jungle. Ofcom revealed they received 1,187 complaints during the final.

Adam Thomas Speaks Out

Appearing on his podcast At Home With The Thomas Bros, Adam Thomas addressed the incident: "No one knows, even now, me explaining it, you'll never understand. I'll never understand. It's so hard to process everything I've been through. The fact that it's just been turned into entertainment for live TV, for a family show that I loved." He added: "I've got so much to thank this show for. 10 years ago, this show put me on the map. It was the first show I did that was reality, people got to see me for the very first time ever. I probably would never have the career I've had if it wasn't for this show so I owe a lot to this show. I just wanted to go back and experience it all over again. But it's sad now because the way I always looked at this show, the way I perceived this show, it's tarnished for me."

Viewer Backlash

The final's explosive scenes prompted a wave of complaints from angry viewers, who took to social media to express their dismay. Many criticised the show's handling of the conflict, with some calling for an investigation into the conduct of contestants. Ofcom is now reviewing the complaints to determine whether any broadcasting rules were breached.
