Harry Redknapp has waded into the explosive row between Jimmy Bullard and Adam Thomas on I'm A Celebrity. The former football manager, 79, remained tight-lipped during the chaotic live final last week but has now revealed his true feelings.
Redknapp's Take on the Argument
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Harry described the clash as 'a big and quite a bad argument'. He said: 'Adam really sort of lost his head with Jimmy, which was a shame because they'd got on very well.'
Touching on the feud between Adam and David Haye, who has been accused of being a 'bully', Harry noted that Adam was 'often upset about everything'. He added: 'David seemed to be giving Adam lots of stick, you know, for whatever reason, and Adam seemed to spend an awful lot of time getting very upset about everything.'
Why Harry Missed the Drama
Harry admitted he was unaware of most arguments because he didn't wear his hearing aids in camp. 'I really didn't even hear what was going on because I do have hearing aids,' he explained. 'I couldn't take them into the camp because there's nowhere to charge them up and they'd only last 48 hours maximum. So yeah, I must be honest, a lot of the conversations that were going on across the camp, I honestly couldn't hear.'
He added: 'So I'm watching it now on TV. But at the time, I couldn't sit there and say that I was really into what they were talking about. So it was difficult.'
Hunger Fuelled Arguments
Harry also reflected on how hunger played a role in the disputes. 'We had one or two arguments, I suppose. You'll always get that when you get people living together and getting a bit hungry and not getting food. They tend to happen I suppose, but it didn't happen with me. I didn't argue with anybody really.'
The Live Final Explosion
During the live finale, hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly struggled to control the situation as Gemma Collins and Sinitta stormed off stage. Jimmy Bullard accused Adam of being 'abusive, aggressive and intimidating' after allegedly being called the 'C-word'. Jimmy admitted he had to leave early for personal reasons and said: 'Listen, Adam and all of you can be upset with me and I absolutely threw him under the bus, I get it and I'll wear that. But what I don't stand on, is someone being abusive, aggressive and intimidating, I don't stand on that.'
Jimmy fumed that the show didn't air the offensive language: 'You didn't show any of the C-bombs, it's a liberty.' Ant argued: 'The reason we didn't air the C-bomb is because that is unbroadcastable. I was there and I didn't think it was intimidating. I was there Jim.'
Adam responded: 'I take full responsibility for my actions and yes emotions were definitely running high in that moment. I have nothing but love for Jimmy in that moment. I have apologised to Jimmy on numerous occasions and I do take everything that he is saying into account and the only thing I can do is apologise.'
Harry's Partnership with iD Mobile
Harry has partnered with iD Mobile to promote their inclusive Roaming available in 50 destinations worldwide. Speaking about the partnership, he said: 'I've teamed up with iD Mobile – The whole idea is to tackle something that genuinely winds people up - coming home from a lovely holiday to find a massive phone bill waiting for you at the end. iD Mobile gives you inclusive Roaming in 50 countries worldwide – it means that when you come home, you don't get them hefty bills, which is very important to people.'
He added: 'I've certainly gone away making or taking calls - and when you come home, you look at your phone bill, you go, oh my God, what have I done! It's cost more than the holiday! So yeah, you have to be very careful.'
