A Dungeons & Dragons club in central London is at the centre of a £150,000 legal dispute, sparked by allegations that a co-founder inappropriately cuddled a female dungeon master during a game session. Arcadia Games, located in a 20-room venue off The Strand, opened in May after being launched by Raonaid Adrianna Ryn, 36, with support from her ex-husband Alexander Forsyth, 41, and his wife Madeleine Wilson, 35.
According to court documents, Ms Ryn claims she received complaints from a bar staff member and a female dungeon master about Mr Forsyth’s behaviour. The first complaint, on 14 May, alleged he made inappropriate comments about the staff member’s outfit and career, and discussed his involvement in kink clubs. The second, on 23 May, claimed he entered a private games room, sat on the arm of the dungeon master’s chair, and cuddled her in front of customers.
Mr Forsyth denies the allegations, arguing that the complaints were “confected” by Ms Ryn and her new partner, Keiran Farr, to facilitate a “hostile takeover” of the company. He and Ms Wilson say they were wrongfully excluded from the business and locked out of the premises, despite investing over £46,000 and providing £10,000 worth of furnishings and equipment.
The dispute escalated to the police being called after a confrontation between the couples. Arcadia Games Ltd, now solely directed by Ms Ryn, has filed a £100,000 claim against Mr Forsyth and Ms Wilson, who have responded with a £56,000 counterclaim. The club, which charges up to £300 per month for workspace and unlimited D&D games, promotes itself as a safe and inclusive space with a strict code of conduct banning non-consensual touching or sexualisation.
