Nearly one year after Taylor Swift's engagement to NFL star Travis Kelce, details of their upcoming wedding are emerging. The ceremony is set to take place at Madison Square Garden, with a reported guest list of 1,000 people, according to a permit approved by City Hall.
Performers and Guests
Country singers Tim McGraw and Stevie Nicks are reportedly set to perform at the star-studded event. Speculation intensified after Taylor wore a Stevie Nicks t-shirt to an NBA Finals game at Madison Square Garden earlier this month. A source told Page Six: "I’ve heard Taylor invited so many people it’s going to be bigger than the Met Gala."
Other names rumored to attend include Kenny Chesney and Kesha, both of whom have canceled tour dates around the expected wedding date. Sir Paul McCartney may also perform, having bonded with Swift when they appeared on Saturday Night Live together in 2015. His daughter, fashion designer Stella McCartney, is believed to be designing one of Swift's wedding dresses.
Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding Details
A separate permit for 100 people on Thursday next week suggests a rehearsal dinner, according to industry insiders. However, whispers have circulated that Swift and Kelce may have already exchanged vows privately. A source reportedly said: "I think it’s possible it’s already happened."
The guest list includes Swift's high school best friend Abigail Anderson, as well as celebrity friends Zoe Kravitz, Ed Sheeran, Cara Delevingne, Suki Waterhouse, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Selena Gomez, and Benny Blanco. Kelce will invite his Kansas City Chiefs teammates and staff, including Patrick Mahomes, George Kittle, and coach Andy Reid. San Francisco 49ers star Kyle Juszczyk and his wife Kristin are also said to be on the list, along with Hollywood actress Emma Stone.
Wedding Style and Speculation
A source commented: "Something this big and lavish is somewhat antithetical to what those closest to her would have imagined for her wedding. And that’s why many feel the MSG event will be a celebration of marriage that will have already occurred."
