Clarkson's Farm has released a trailer for its upcoming fifth season, revealing that the new episodes will chronicle Jeremy Clarkson's heart emergency. The TV presenter, now 66, disclosed in October 2024 that he had undergone urgent heart surgery after being warned he was potentially days away from death. Clarkson was rushed to hospital, where a stent was fitted to clear his arteries. A year and a half later, viewers will witness his health scare in the new season, set to premiere on 3 June on Prime Video. Previous seasons have focused on Clarkson's life as the owner-operator of his working farm in Diddly Squat, Chipping Norton.
Trailer Highlights
A new trailer, released on Monday (18 May), showed Clarkson being treated in hospital with various electrocardiogram (ECG) wires attached to his body. He is later seen speaking to farm hand Kaleb Cooper after recovering, saying: 'You've got three arteries that feed your heart to keep it pumping. My heart wasn't getting any blood.'
Later in the trailer, Clarkson attends the farmers' protest in London in November 2024, where thousands marched over changes to inheritance tax for farmers introduced in the Budget. Speaking to his agricultural consultant Charlie Ireland, Clarkson said: 'The doctor told me not to speak. Amazon's told me not to speak.' However, the former Top Gear presenter did deliver a speech to the protesters.
Driverless Tractor Mishap
Fans can also expect to see Clarkson attempt to use a driverless tractor on his land, with Cooper fretting: 'That's basically taking my job.' His concerns prove premature, however, as the new tech promptly breaks down. 'That went well,' Clarkson adds.
Farm Restrictions and Bovine Tuberculosis
Disaster strikes later in the trailer as Clarkson is told that his farm is being placed 'under restrictions'. Last year, Clarkson revealed that he was forced to cull the first calf born on Diddly Squat following an outbreak of bovine tuberculosis. 'This was the first calf ever born on Diddly Squat,' Clarkson wrote on Instagram in October 2024. 'And this morning she was destroyed while pregnant with twins, because she has TB. So sad.'
Clarkson bought Diddly Squat Farm in 2008 as an investment but began running it himself in 2019 with the help of various farming experts. Two years later, the first series of Clarkson's Farm was released, becoming one of Amazon Prime Video's most successful projects. In February 2026, it was reported that the show had been renewed for a sixth series, with filming already underway.
