Surge in Reports
Reports of problems with Lloyds rose suddenly just before 2pm on the day of the outage, with hundreds of reports being made every hour since. Users have cited funds transfer, app functionality and online banking as the three most common issues, according to Downdetector.
Impact and Response
The Mirror has contacted both Lloyds and Barclays for comment. The outage has left many customers unable to make payments or access their accounts through digital channels.
