Ugandan Police Arrest 20 Arsenal Fans Over Trophy Parade After Man United Win

Police in Uganda have detained at least 20 Arsenal supporters after they held a trophy parade on the streets of Jinja following the team's 3-2 victory over Manchester United on Sunday. The win, secured by a 90th-minute goal from Eddie Nketiah, left Arsenal five points clear at the top of the Premier League with a game in hand.

The fans were intercepted while driving in a convoy of about five vehicles through Jinja, a city in eastern Uganda. According to one of those arrested, Baker Kasule, a police patrol vehicle pulled in front of them and ordered them to disembark and board the patrol car, which took them to Jinja Police Station.

Kasule told the Daily Monitor that he was unsure why they were arrested, stating, 'I don't know what we have done but we were simply celebrating our victory over rivals Manchester United.' He added that 20 supporters in total were detained, all from Jinja City.
