Australian Accuser in Alexander Twins Sex Assault Case Found Dead
Woman in Alexander twins sex assault case found dead

An Australian woman who launched a civil lawsuit accusing identical twin brothers of sexually assaulting her at a lavish Hamptons estate has been found dead in unexplained circumstances. Kate Whiteman, 45, was found deceased in Sydney late last year, with authorities investigating whether her death was from natural causes.

The Allegations and the Civil Lawsuit

In March 2024, Kate Whiteman filed a lawsuit against famous realtor Oren Alexander and his twin brother, Alon. She claimed she met the siblings in New York City in 2012 and, after a night out, travelled with them to a mansion in the Hamptons designed to resemble a castle.

Upon arrival at the property, known as 'Sir Ivan's Castle,' Whiteman alleged she was sexually assaulted by both brothers. Her complaint stated she was prevented from leaving by a security guard, had her phone confiscated, and was forced to strip before the alleged attack occurred during Memorial Day weekend in 2012.

A Case Complicated by Messages

Court documents revealed in July 2025 presented a conflicting narrative. A motion to dismiss Whiteman's lawsuit, obtained by the Daily Mail, alleged that for over a year after the claimed assault, Whiteman sent the brothers a series of sexually explicit messages, erotic photographs, and invitations to social events.

These messages reportedly included nude images sent to Oren Alexander ten months after the alleged rape, with an invitation to her Manhattan apartment. The filing also stated that just one month after the incident, she wished Oren a happy birthday and asked to bring friends to his party.

Whiteman's legal team disputed this characterisation, accusing the Alexanders of 'cherry-picking' communications. They maintained that their client was 'terrified' of the brothers and suffered from extreme depression and anxiety following the alleged attack.

Brothers in Custody Facing Multiple Charges

The allegations from Whiteman triggered a wave of further accusations. Oren and Alon Alexander, along with their older brother Tal, were arrested in December 2024. They remain in custody in New York, charged federally with orchestrating a sex trafficking scheme spanning more than a decade.

Federal prosecutors have spoken to at least 60 women who claim to be victims of at least one of the Alexander brothers. The indictment alleges the brothers used deception, fraud, coercion, and drugs to impair victims before sexually assaulting them.

The trio, who have pleaded not guilty to all criminal charges, are awaiting a trial scheduled for 2026. They also face multiple civil lawsuits across several US states. Their once-lucrative careers in luxury real estate, which included the sale of a $238 million Central Park penthouse, have been dismantled.

The investigation into Kate Whiteman's death continues in Australia, adding another layer of tragedy to a complex legal saga that has captivated international attention.
