Family Reveals Where Transgender Partner of Kirk's Alleged Assassin is Living
Transgender Partner of Kirk's Alleged Killer Located

The family of the transgender partner linked to the man accused of assassinating conservative commentator Charlie Kirk has broken their silence, revealing his current location after he vanished in the wake of the shocking murder.

Details of the Shooting and Aftermath

Charlie Kirk, 31, was fatally shot in front of a crowd of hundreds on September 10 during a live debate event he was holding at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Authorities allege the killer was 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, who they claim held a 'leftist ideology' and may have been 'radicalised' online before his arrest for killing the prominent MAGA influencer.

Prosecutors have since released text messages seemingly sent by Robinson to his live-in transgender boyfriend, 22-year-old Lance Twiggs, which appear to confess to the killing. While no direct connection has been established between Twiggs and the assassination plot, his whereabouts became a mystery following the shooting.

Family Breaks Silence on Twiggs's Whereabouts

For weeks, Twiggs could not be found at the Utah apartment he shared with Robinson. Now, an anonymous family member has spoken to NewsNation's Brian Entin, disclosing that Twiggs is currently living with his family.

"The first few weeks, because there were so many threats against his family and him, my understanding is that they did have a little bit of FBI detail, and they kind of moved around a little bit, but they're not anymore. He's with his family," the relative stated.

Twiggs has not been charged with any crime, and officials stated he has been cooperating with the investigation. However, the family member suggested his cooperation was not entirely voluntary. "When I first found out about how he was taken in and talked to by the police, I know they said he was very cooperative, but they had to go get him and bring him in," she said. "He didn't voluntarily go in... He handed things over when they asked for them, but he didn't give up any information until he had to."

A Story of Corrupted Potential and Legal Proceedings

The family member lamented the lost potential of both young men, blaming online culture. "Both of them are super smart. Lance was a concert pianist, his talent for piano music was off the charts... That's what I've heard about Tyler, that he was just so smart. It's just a shame," she said, adding that their anti-social behaviour, online gaming, and involvement in Discord groups seemed to disconnect them from the real world.

Tyler Robinson has been charged with aggravated murder, and prosecutors have announced their intention to seek the death penalty. His defence is currently attempting to have the prosecution team removed from the case, arguing a conflict of interest because the adult child of a deputy county attorney was present at the event where Kirk was killed. The prosecution admits the individual was there but denies any conflict. A judge has yet to rule on the matter, with Robinson's next court appearance scheduled for January 16.
