A popular online influencer has been killed in a horrific car crash in Brazil, after the Porsche she was a passenger in smashed into a utility pole at high speed. The driver, who was allegedly intoxicated, reportedly fled the scene on foot without injury.
Tragic Details of the Early Morning Crash
The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday morning in Balneário Camboriú. Aline Cristina Dalmolin, 41, was a passenger in the Porsche Macan when the vehicle lost control and collided with a pole. The force of the impact was so severe that it severed one of Aline's arms and caused critical head injuries.
Despite emergency efforts, she suffered multiple cardiac arrests and tragically passed away in the ambulance on route to the hospital.
Driver's Arrest and Alleged Intoxication
In a shocking turn of events, the 57-year-old male driver was able to exit the wrecked vehicle apparently unscathed. According to a police spokesperson, he then left the scene, heading towards the banks of the Camboriú River.
Officers later located him in a nearby mangrove area. Police stated he showed clear signs of being under the influence of alcohol, including slurred speech, difficulty walking, the smell of alcohol, and general disorientation. He was arrested at the scene.
The relationship between the driver and Aline remains unknown. He now faces formal charges of manslaughter while driving under the influence of alcohol.
