Irish singer Ronan Keating has marked a special family milestone, celebrating his daughter Coco's sixth birthday with a touching social media tribute. The Boyzone star, aged 49, posted a carousel of adorable photographs on Instagram this Friday, accompanied by a heartfelt message for his youngest child.
Family Celebrations and Loving Words
Ronan Keating, known for his music career with Boyzone, shared a series of snapshots capturing precious moments with his daughter Coco. In his Instagram post, the doting father expressed his amazement at how quickly time has passed, writing: 'Oh My oh my Baby girl where have the 6 years gone. Happy birthday little lady. We love you more than air Coco Bean Keep dancing rascal.'
The singer shares two children with his second wife, model and television producer Storm Keating, 44: their son Cooper, aged eight, and daughter Coco, who just turned six. From his previous marriage to Yvonne Connolly, Ronan has three older children: Love Island personality Jack, 27, Marie (known as Missy), 25, and Ali, 20.
Storm Keating's Emotional Tribute
Meanwhile, Storm Keating created her own separate Instagram post to honor her daughter's special day. She penned an extensive tribute describing Coco's vibrant personality: 'To my dearest little girl, you are so brave, wild, kind, funny, sweet, clever, vivacious, gentle and loving. Your spirit is electric and your tenderness melts my heart.'
Storm continued with affectionate praise, noting: 'Even at 6 years old, you have enough sass to take on the world - and it blows our minds how one gorgeous little bean could be packed with so much talent, intelligence and sparkle. We are so proud of you sweetheart and we all love you so much. Every day is brighter with you in it.'
Boyzone's Final Chapter
In a separate development, Ronan Keating has provided significant insight into Boyzone's upcoming reunion shows, describing them as definitively final. The band is scheduled to perform two concerts at London's Emirates Stadium in June, marking their first collective appearance since their 2019 London Palladium performances.
During a recent appearance on Tracks Of My Years, Ronan emphasized that these shows represent a permanent farewell rather than a new beginning. He stated clearly: 'It's our way of writing the final chapter, saying goodbye. It's a farewell tour. There's no new music. We're not getting the band back together again. We're not touring across the world.'
Reflections on Past Tours
The singer reflected candidly on previous reunion experiences, characterizing their last farewell tour as creating a 'toxic environment' for the band members. He recalled a particularly difficult moment during the Tokyo leg of that tour when tensions escalated dramatically, resulting in the band members taking separate flights home.
'We met up a week later in London to do the Palladium, the five nights that we did, the final shows, or as we thought were the final shows,' Ronan recounted. 'And we all had different dressing rooms for the first time in our careers.'
Ronan explained that additional touring would be 'incredibly unhealthy' for the group, stating: 'We'd take a massive step backwards in our lives.' Despite numerous offers for international performances, he confirmed the band has issued a 'blanket no' to all additional proposals beyond the two scheduled London shows.
Looking Forward to Final Performances
Despite the challenges of past tours, Ronan expressed optimism about the upcoming reunion concerts. He described the band members as being in alignment about their decision to conclude their collective journey, noting they all maintain successful individual careers outside of Boyzone.
'We all have our own lives and careers away from the band, but we can come back for that week,' Ronan said. 'It'll be spectacular. We'll put on all the fireworks and make it magic. And there'll be tears, but we'll go out on a high and that'll be our final chapter written.'
Boyzone, originally formed in 1993, consists of Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch, Mikey Graham, and the late Stephen Gately. The group achieved remarkable commercial success during their career, securing six UK number one singles and five UK number one albums. After initially disbanding in 2000, they reunited in 2007 before embarking on their Thank You And Goodnight farewell tour in 2019.
The upcoming Two For The Road performances in June will serve as the definitive conclusion to Boyzone's musical legacy, allowing fans one final opportunity to experience the band's iconic performances while the members celebrate both their shared history and individual futures.
