Police authorities are currently investigating a serious shooting incident that occurred outside a prominent Florida casino on Monday, resulting in the hospitalisation of renowned rapper Offset. The artist, formerly a key member of the highly influential hip-hop trio Migos, is reported to be in a stable medical condition following the violent altercation.

Law enforcement officials have confirmed that two individuals have been detained in direct connection with the shooting. The incident reportedly originated from a physical fight at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, located just north of Miami. Investigators are actively pursuing leads and working diligently to identify any additional parties who may have been involved in the altercation.
Offset's Rise to Fame with Migos
Offset, whose birth name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, first rose to prominence as one-third of the two-time Grammy-nominated group Migos. The Atlanta-based trio is widely regarded as one of the most influential hip-hop acts of their generation, celebrated for pioneering a distinctive rapid-fire triplet flow that significantly shaped the modern trap music landscape.
Their remarkable career launched with the 2013 breakthrough hit "Versace," leading to several multi-platinum selling singles including "Bad and Boujee," which achieved the number one position on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart. Other notable hits include "Stir Fry," "Narcos," and "T-Shirt." In 2019 he unveiled "Father of Four," followed by 2023's "Set It Off," which he described to The Associated Press at the time as a concerted effort to "bring rap back" in a genre increasingly dominated by singing rappers.
The rapper told AP last year that the song "'Set It Off' was a freedom," serving as proof that he could shine as a solo artist outside the Migos collective. His more recent album, 2025's "Kiari," represents a contrasting approach that he described as "me, for what I am, and recognizing who I am."
"I feel like sometimes you could get lost in trying to please other people and trying to do what they want you to do," he explained. "So, this is like my rebellion. My rebellion album."
Personal Life and Public Relationships
Offset's high-profile relationship with fellow rapper Cardi B has consistently attracted substantial public interest. The pair were secretly wed in September 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2024, Cardi B publicly announced that she had filed for divorce from Offset.
The couple share three children together: 7-year-old daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus, 4-year-old son Wave Set Cephus, and their toddler Blossom.
