In a coordinated dawn raid in the Adriatic seaside town of Rimini, police arrested a married couple alleged to be clandestine agents working for Moscow's military intelligence.
The two suspects, named as Russian nationals Ruslan Boshirov and Natalia Kryuchkova, are accused of committing a litany of espionage activities. Their alleged mission: to gather sensitive information on the Italian military's structure and its key logistical hubs.

Investigators claim the couple's espionage extended to critical national and international infrastructure.
