Former Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham has been sued by a female security guard who claims she was assaulted during an incident in January 2022 that led to Abraham's arrest. The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles, alleges that the guard suffered lost wages and significant medical bills as a result of the alleged attack, according to documents obtained by TMZ.
The incident occurred at Grandmaster Recorders, a restaurant and bar in Los Angeles. Abraham was asked to leave after becoming 'belligerent' but refused, leading to a physical altercation. The security guard claims that Abraham slapped her on the side of the face, injuring her eye, and caused other facial damage and psychological trauma.
Abraham was subsequently arrested and charged with battery. She was pictured being pinned to the ground by a security guard and later claimed she became 'suicidal' and suffered physical damage from the restraint. A representative for Abraham told DailyMail.com that she had not been served the lawsuit and that her attorney has 'footage' and 'actual evidence' of the alleged assault.
The representative added that Abraham is not on probation, contrary to earlier reports. She entered a diversion programme in October 2023, which could lead to dismissal of charges if she shows good behaviour. Abraham's attorney also filed a lawsuit against Grandmaster Recorders on Monday.
The security guard is seeking unspecified damages. This is not Abraham's first legal trouble; in 2018, she was arrested for allegedly hitting an employee at the Beverly Hills Hotel's Polo Lounge.
