Welsh singer Duffy, who vanished from the public eye in 2011, has sold her secluded Surrey mansion for £5.3 million and is preparing a major comeback with a Disney+ documentary, according to The Mail on Sunday.
The 41-year-old Grammy and Brit Award winner lived reclusively in the eight-bedroom Weybridge property, which was originally listed at £7.5 million in 2024 before selling at a Sotheby's auction last summer. The 4,000 sq ft home features minimalist white decor, marble fireplaces, chandeliers, formal gardens, fountains, and a rose garden, with a 12ft fence and CCTV for security.
Duffy, who changed her legal name to Duffy Jones in 2013, has signed with management company TaP, known for representing Lana Del Rey, and is expected to release new music. The Disney+ documentary will mark her first major public appearance in over a decade.
The singer stunned fans in 2020 when she revealed she had been kidnapped, drugged, and raped, an ordeal that left her suicidal and in hiding. She said: 'Rape stripped me of my human rights... but the sun does now shine.'
Neighbours in the celebrity-favoured enclave, which has housed stars like Sir Tom Jones and Sir Elton John, were reportedly unaware of her presence. Her new management is using black-and-white photos from her heyday, as she is believed to look very different now.
