Amanda Holden made a surprise appearance at an intimate viewing party for Jeremy Clarkson's Britain's Got Talent farming choir, arriving with a glass of bubbles in hand. The BGT judge joined the Hawkstone Farmer's Choir to celebrate their golden buzzer moment, which aired during the latest episode of the show.
The choir, composed of 32 rural workers brought together by Clarkson in 2024, performed a rendition of One Day Like This by Elbow. Their heartfelt performance moved Holden to press the golden buzzer, sending them straight to the live semi-finals.
Holden shared a video on Instagram showing her sneaking into The Fox at Oddington pub, where the choir had gathered to watch the broadcast. She wrote: 'About last night…. I decided to surprise @thehawkstonefarmerschoir in my favourite local @thefoxatoddington - they had got together to watch their golden buzzer moment on @bgt @ itv!'
In the video, Holden is seen outside the pub in a puffy jacket before bursting in to cheers. She then sat with the group to watch the moment unfold on a large television. She added: 'Any excuse for a pint? (of champagne) what a gorgeous evening -so lovely to catch up with them all! Can't wait for the semifinals.'
Speaking about the choir, Holden said: 'As soon as you started, I completely welled up. I felt so much power. I love the whole community. You absolutely smashed it and I can't wait to see what you do in the semi-finals.' Guest judge Stacey Solomon praised the power of choirs, while Alesha Dixon described the performance as 'beautiful.'
