The incident, which occurred in the early hours, saw a Russian cruise missile breach Polish territory for 39 seconds, triggering a swift military response.
The Polish Armed Forces Operational Command confirmed the breach, stating the object entered near the village of Oserdów, a mere stone's throw from the war-torn Ukrainian border. In immediate response, NATO F-16 fighter jets were scrambled to secure the airspace, underscoring the high-stakes nature of the event.
