Tributes have been paid to Perthshire businesswoman Wendy Taylor, 57, who died after being swept away in an Angus river during Storm Babet. Her body was recovered from the Water of Lee, Glen Esk, at about 16:00 on Thursday.
Mrs Taylor was a director at Errol-based Taylor's Snacks, previously known as Mackie's, and also served as secretary and director of Taypack Potatoes alongside her husband George. The family bought out Mackie's of Scotland's share in the business last year.
Police confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Perthshire North MSP John Swinney said he was 'terribly saddened' by the news, describing Mrs Taylor as an 'influential and much-loved figure' in the local business community. Perthshire Chamber of Commerce chief executive Vicki Unite said the organisation was 'devastated' by her death.
In a statement released through Police Scotland, Mrs Taylor's family said they were 'absolutely heartbroken' and described her as 'a ray of sunshine for everyone who was fortunate enough to know her'.
