Amy Childs Opens Up About Weight Gain Journey After Stress-Induced Loss
Amy Childs Updates Fans on Her Weight Gain Mission

Reality television personality Amy Childs has provided a heartfelt update to her followers concerning her determined mission to gain weight, candidly sharing that she is on a personal journey to become her 'best self for the family'. The 35-year-old icon from The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE) had previously caused concern among fans due to her noticeably thin frame, which was a result of suffering from severe stress.

A Mission for Healthier Living

Taking to her Instagram on Friday, Amy posed in a sage green sports bra and leggings, showcasing her current physique. She penned a lengthy and honest caption addressing the numerous comments she has received about her weight. 'Feel like I have to do this post!!' she began, explaining that for the past several months she has been working intently on her nutrition with a specialist, @jon_jkphysique.

She wrote openly about her realisation after losing a significant amount of weight, stating she needed to learn how to eat correctly and choose the right foods. 'It’s been tough but I have started to gain healthy weight back,' Amy shared, noting she still has a little way to go. Her new regimen includes going to the gym, focusing on weight training, and working towards a more toned physique.

Family as the Driving Force

The mother-of-four emphasised that this transformation is not an overnight process but a sustained 'journey to be my best self for the family'. She directly appealed to her followers, asking for 'please no negative comments' as she navigates this challenging path. Amy also mentioned incorporating weekly body treatments at @3daestheticsuk to aid her progress.

This health update comes amidst a difficult period for the Childs family. Just days before her Instagram post, Amy attended the ITV Palooza in London with her cousin, Harry Derbidge. She admitted on social media that she had been 'terrible on social media lately' due to 'a lot going on at home', which includes back-to-back filming commitments and the demands of being a mother to her four young children.

A Challenging Time for the Family

The family's troubles were compounded last week when Amy's brother, Billy, was involved in a major car accident and rushed to hospital. Sharing a photo of her smiling brother in a wheelchair being pushed by their mother, Amy expressed her relief, writing 'Someone was looking over my brother'. She revealed his car was a complete write-off, but thankfully he was able to return home from A&E.

In a previous emotional interview, Amy had connected her extreme weight loss to the stress of worrying about her mum's health, juggling her four children, and dealing with home renovations. 'I'm going through so much at the minute that the weight has fallen off me,' she confessed, adding that she feels better at a slightly heavier weight than her current one. Despite receiving cruel trolling, the resilient star affirmed her strength, having been in the industry for 15 years, and acknowledged the concern from well-wishers.
