Trump Faces Health Speculation Over Weight, Hand, and Brain
Trump Health Rumors: Weight, Hand, Brain Under Scrutiny

US President Donald Trump is facing intense health speculation as doctors, online sleuths, and healthcare experts scrutinize his physical and mental fitness. The 80-year-old Commander-in-Chief has come under the microscope following a series of concerning public appearances.

Weight Gain Concerns

Health experts are raising alarms over Trump's waistline after a report by The Washington Post claimed the President has gained 23 pounds in three years. The fast-food-loving leader reportedly weighed approximately 238 pounds at his May physical exam—up 14 pounds from last year and 23 pounds heavier than his 215-pound listed weight when he was arrested in Georgia in 2023.

Dr. Scott Kahan, director of the National Center for Weight and Wellness, warned that addressing his obesity should take priority similar to "ensuring Secret Service protections for his life."

Hand Injury Speculation

The weight fears come alongside a frenzy over viral photos that saw observers fixate on Trump's right hand. Journalist Aaron Rupar shared a close-up snap on X, posting: "Trump's mangled hand as photographed today at the White House."

Trump has previously blamed dark marks on blood thinners and high-dose aspirin, telling reporters: "I take the larger one... what it does do is it causes bruising."

Cognitive Health Claims

The physical scares follow alarming claims about his cognitive health from specialist physiotherapist Dr. Adam James, who analyzed footage of Trump dozing off in an Oval Office meeting with Health Secretary RFK Jr.

"Clinically speaking, these are all dementia symptoms," Dr. James claimed. "His brain is disconnecting from a typical sleep-wake day-night circadian rhythm...This is about somebody's brain dissolving inside of their skull."

White House Response

Despite the mounting headlines, White House officials have hit back hard against critics, fiercely maintaining that the Commander-in-Chief remains sharp, energized, and fully fit for duty. Dismissing the claims, White House spokesman Davis Ingle said: "President Trump is the sharpest and most accessible President in American history who is working nonstop to solve problems and deliver on his promises."
