Kaleb Cooper Provides Update on Jeremy Clarkson After Cancer Revelation
Kaleb Cooper, co-star of Clarkson's Farm, has shared an update on Jeremy Clarkson following the broadcaster's disclosure of his prostate cancer diagnosis. The 66-year-old former Top Gear host revealed the news in the latest episodes of the fifth season of his farming series, describing the disease as "aggressive" but detected early.
Clarkson underwent surgery to remove part of his prostate and experienced complications during treatment. Cooper reassured fans that his longtime friend is in good spirits. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Cooper said: "If anything like this happens to any of your friends... my best pal has got to be supported through that whole journey. And that's where I've been. I've been right by his side and his spirits are really good, so thank you."
Cooper Urges Health Vigilance
Cooper praised Clarkson's resilience and encouraged others to prioritize their health. "He's strong-minded, he's got a strong mind on him, which is good. And the message about catching anything early is quite important. That's the main thing. You've got to keep checking. People can sit there and say, 'I'm busy, busy, busy,' but actually sometimes you've got to say, 'I'm just going to have to check and see if I'm OK.'"
Clarkson's diagnosis is revealed in the final two episodes of the fifth series, filmed between September 2024 and August 2025. While discussing harvest plans, he suddenly told Cooper and land agent Charlie Ireland: "I've got cancer." A stunned Cooper replied: "No, you haven't. Where?" Clarkson responded that he had known since May and that the cancer was aggressive but early.
After hearing the news, an emotional Cooper said: "Look after yourself," while Ireland quietly added: "Yeah, yeah, yeah."
Clarkson Reflects on Tough Year
Later in the series, Clarkson reflected on what has been one of the toughest years of his life, having previously undergone treatment for coronary heart disease. "So we started the year and I had coronary heart disease and ended it with me with cancer. We can dwell as much as we like on all the bad things that have happened on the farm, but I think it is better now at the end of the year to focus on things that have happened that are good."
When Kaleb asked when they would know if the treatment had worked, Clarkson replied: "I've got a blood test today and then we'll know. Not for another few weeks. Come on, cheer up, it probably did work." The season ends with Clarkson speaking from a hospital bed as he continued treatment.
Lisa Hogan Thanks Supporters
Clarkson's partner, Lisa Hogan, expressed gratitude for the influx of support. She shared a photo on Instagram Stories of Clarkson sitting in a garden chair with a camera, captioning it "back at the farm" after returning from Royal Ascot. Hogan also reposted Prostate Cancer UK's Instagram post thanking Clarkson for raising "vital awareness." She wrote: "Thank you for all the support today."
