A coroner has said doctors did not become “fixated” on a grandmother’s use of Mounjaro before her death, despite concerns raised by her family.
Caroline Savage, 73, died from faecal peritonitis caused by perforated sigmoid diverticular disease after attending hospital with severe abdominal pain in October 2024.
Family concerns addressed
Her family had questioned whether clinicians were too quick to attribute her symptoms to possible side effects of Mounjaro.
