Sky has confirmed a series of changes to its Sky Sports coverage for the 2026/27 Premier League season, including new features such as Your Multiview, Sky Real Time and a Sports Hub. The season has already produced notable moments, including a 2-2 draw between Newcastle and Liverpool.
Your Multiview and Sports Hub
Your Multiview allows fans to watch four live Sky Sports events at the same time on the same screen. This means viewers can follow football, cricket, tennis, golf, rugby and more side-by-side without constantly switching channels. Users can spotlight an event to change the on-screen layout and adjust the audio to focus on a specific match.
Sky has confirmed it will show roughly 1,500 games across this season, with at least 215 from the Premier League. The new Sports Hub provides live scores, schedules, tables, clips and highlights on the side of the screen. The Team Page brings all of a favourite team's highlights and headlines into one place, while the Live Sports Rail keeps fans up to date with upcoming and current events.
Sky Real Time and Pricing
Sky Real Time is a new set of channels across Sky Sports Football, Sky Sports+ and Sky Sports Premier League that delivers action with less lag. It is said to show what is happening on the pitch 'within seconds', allowing viewers to see each kick of the ball almost instantly and avoid spoilers from mobile notifications.
Each new feature is included with Sky Glass and Sky Stream, the latter starting at £35 per month for Essential TV and Sky Sports. This includes full Sky Sports coverage of the Premier League, EFL, F1 and more, plus around 100 channels and a free Netflix subscription. There is also a £44 Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle, which now includes HBO Max, Disney+ and Hayu. Existing Sky customers can add Sky Sports to their package from £22 per month.
Contract Terms and Alternatives
Customers need to commit to a 24-month contract to access the better prices. Sky has highlighted that its prices may change during the minimum term.
Alternatively, Virgin Media's TV and Broadband bundles include a £52.99 Sport bundle with more than 200 channels, Netflix and 516Mbps fibre broadband. Virgin has said this package will rise to £56.99 from April 2027 and £60.99 from April 2028.
Not every Premier League fixture will air on Sky, as TNT Sports holds the broadcast rights to select games. TNT tends to show one game per gameweek, with coverage available on platforms such as Prime Video's TNT Sports Channel. Subscriptions start from £25.99 per month on an annual plan, or £30.99 on a rolling monthly basis.
