Sam Neill Reveals Chemotherapy Stopped Working Before New Treatment Saved Him
Sam Neill: Chemo Failed Before New Treatment Saved Me

Sam Neill, the 78-year-old acting legend best known for his role as Alan Grant in the Jurassic Park franchise, has shared the harrowing details of his battle with stage-three blood cancer. In a candid interview with Australia's 7 News, Neill revealed that after five years of chemotherapy, the treatment stopped working, bringing him close to death.

“I’ve been living with a particular type of lymphoma for about five years and I was on chemotherapy and the pretty miserable business but it was keeping me alive,” Neill said. “Then the chemo stopped working. I was at a loss and it looked like I was on the way out, which wasn’t ideal obviously.”

A Groundbreaking Treatment

Fortunately, Neill’s fortunes changed thanks to a cutting-edge therapy that genetically modifies blood cells. This innovative approach has left him cancer-free. “I’ve just had a scan just now and there is no cancer in my body, that’s an extraordinary thing. I’m very, very excited that this can happen,” he shared.
