Vanessa Trump, the 48-year-old ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr., has revealed she is cancer-free, six months after being diagnosed with breast cancer. The update came from her daughter, Kai, 19, who shared a video on Instagram of the two discussing Vanessa's cancer journey.
Announcement on Instagram
In a caption on the Instagram post, Kai wrote, “October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about early detection, education, and support for those affected by breast cancer.” In the short clip, Vanessa said the results of a test “came back clear, so I’m finally cancer free.”
Vanessa had shared her diagnosis back in May, writing at the time: “I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan.”
Upcoming YouTube video
A longer-form video, scheduled to be released on YouTube Saturday, includes Kai chatting with her mother and Dr. Nicole Saphier to discuss her “mum’s journey with breast cancer and learn more about prevention and early detection.”
Followers shared their support in the comments, with one writing: "Congratulations to your mum god bless her," and another posting: "Goodness, gracious Kai you’re so sweet and I did not mean to cry today but I did, but I’m so happy it came back clear."
