Former Baywatch star Nicole Eggert was spotted enjoying a much-deserved girls' night out in West Hollywood this week, radiating positivity following a recent encouraging health update in her cancer journey.
A Night Out with Friends and Family
The 53-year-old actress, famed for playing Summer Quinn in the original series, visited the legendary Whiskey a Go Go music venue on Sunset Boulevard on Thursday. She was joined by fellow Baywatch alum Brande Roderick, her 27-year-old daughter Dilyn, and other close friends for the evening excursion.
Eggert, who was diagnosed with stage two cribriform carcinoma breast cancer in December 2023, looked in good spirits. She sported a chic off-the-shoulder grey shirt emblazoned with 'Los Angeles', white lace shorts, black knee-high boots, and accessorised with layered necklaces and gold hoop earrings.
The group was seen laughing and posing for photos outside the venue before heading inside to watch Sabbath Knights, a band featuring Black Sabbath drummer Vinny Appice.
An Ongoing Journey of Recovery and Resilience
Eggert publicly revealed her diagnosis in January of last year, explaining that after gaining weight and feeling pain, a self-exam revealed a lump. "It really was throbbing and hurting," she told People magazine, prompting immediate medical attention.
Her treatment included chemotherapy, a mastectomy, and breast reconstruction. Throughout the process, the mother-of-two has been open about the challenges, stating the journey has been "rough" and far from a "breezy sail through life." She has leaned on inspirational quotes and the support of her children, Dilyn and 14-year-old Keegan, whom she calls her "rocks."
Focusing on Positivity and Clear Results
Earlier this month, Eggert shared an uplifting update with her followers. In an Instagram story set to Missy Elliott's 'Work It', she revealed that her latest monthly blood tests had come back "clear" and her white blood cell count had improved without injections.
"Not everyone realizes how stressful cancer recovery is. Every month there are blood tests... Every. Single. Month," she wrote on the clip. "Today my tests were clear... And I am in my car rocking out and celebrating!"
In a subsequent interview, Eggert explained she prefers to say she has "no evidence of disease" (NED) rather than using the word 'remission'. "I just say I'm NED... because that can change at any moment," she said, emphasising her focus on daily health and maintaining a positive inner dialogue.
The actress continues to navigate her recovery with grace, supported by her family and friends, as evidenced by her joyful night out in West Hollywood.
